Step-by-Step Brining & Roasting Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare Your Brining Bag

Place the included brining bag inside a large pot or food-safe container big enough to hold your turkey. Fold the edges of the bag over the rim to keep it open.

Step 2 – Prepare the Brine

Bring 1 quart of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the Brining Spice and stir until the salt has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow the brine to cool completely.

Step 3 – Brine Your Turkey

Place your thawed turkey inside the brining bag. Pour the cooled brine over the turkey, then add enough cold water to fully submerge the bird.

Step 4 – Secure the Bag

Gather and tightly twist the top of the brining bag. Secure it using the included black tie, pulling the narrow end through the opening until firmly fastened.

Step 5 – Refrigerate & Let the Flavor Develop

Refrigerate the turkey in its brine for approximately 1 hour per pound. Keep the turkey fully submerged and refrigerated at 40°F or below throughout the brining process.

Step 6 – Season Your Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F. Remove the turkey from the brine, discard the used brine, and pat the turkey dry with paper towels. Generously season the entire bird with Roast Turkey Rub, using approximately 1 teaspoon per pound.

Step 7 – Roast to Golden Perfection

Place the turkey breast-side up on a rack inside a roasting pan. Roast at 325°F, allowing approximately 15 minutes per pound as a general guideline. Cooking times may vary depending on the size of your turkey and your oven.

For food safety, use a meat thermometer to confirm the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F in the thickest part of the breast and innermost portions of the thigh and wing.

Step 8 – Rest, Carve & Enjoy!

Remove the turkey from the oven and loosely tent with aluminum foil. Allow it to rest for 30 minutes before carving. This helps retain the flavorful juices for a tender, delicious turkey.
